Golf, The Fazio Way
With a setting in Jackson Hole, a picturesque valley with a colorful history, the emphasis was to design a course sensitive to wildlife habitat, open landscapes and traditional culture of working cattle ranches. Tom Fazio was a natural choice to design this course. No living designer has more credits on Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses and Golfweek’s collection of America’s best. Tom Fazio is noted for designing courses to fit their natural environment. “Golf courses should reflect the natural beauty of the setting.”
At Shooting Star, the course includes 254 acres at the base of the famous Teton Range, Fish Creek (a Class 1 Trout stream) wonderful Sleeping Indian and mountain views, and 1,300 acres of open space. Designed as a core course, Shooting Star is physically and visually separate from homes. Framed by ponds, streams, lakes, and aspens, cottonwoods and spruce, Shooting Star offers an exceptional golfing experience.
